Zero-Tolerance
Cheating Policy
ExamIT is committed to maintaining the highest standards of examination integrity, fairness, and security. Confirmed cheating or examination misconduct may result in permanent exclusion from future examinations.
Zero tolerance means zero compromise.
Any candidate confirmed to have cheated or attempted to gain an unauthorized advantage during an examination will be subject to strict disciplinary action. This policy applies to examinations administered by ExamIT and applicable examinations conducted through ExamIT on behalf of its examination partners.
Examples of Cheating
Cheating includes any action intended to obtain an unauthorized advantage during an examination.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Using unauthorized mobile phones, tablets, smart devices, or other electronic gadgets.
- Using a second computer or unauthorized device during the examination.
- Using dual monitors, additional screens, or other unauthorized displays.
- Receiving assistance from another person.
- Communicating with another person during the examination.
- Using unauthorized notes, books, reference materials, or other resources.
- Using AI tools, AI assistants, or other unauthorized technology to obtain answers or assistance.
- Using screen-sharing, remote-access, or communication applications to obtain unauthorized assistance.
- Attempting to bypass or interfere with examination security or proctoring controls.
- Using leaked, stolen, copied, or unauthorized examination questions or answers.
- Allowing another person to take the examination on the candidate's behalf.
- Any other activity intended to obtain an unfair or unauthorized advantage.
Confirmation of Cheating
ExamIT may use applicable examination security and monitoring measures to investigate suspected misconduct.
Depending on the examination, this may include examination activity, proctoring information, identity verification, screen monitoring, system information, and other relevant evidence.
A candidate will be subject to the consequences of this policy when cheating or examination misconduct is confirmed through the applicable review process.
Examination Result Cancellation
When cheating is confirmed, ExamIT may take one or more of the following actions:
Lifetime Examination Ban
If cheating is confirmed, the candidate will be permanently banned from taking examinations administered by ExamIT.
The lifetime ban may apply to:
- All current ExamIT examinations.
- All future ExamIT examinations.
- Examinations administered through ExamIT on behalf of partner organizations.
- Applicable certification and examination programs offered by ExamIT's examination partners through the ExamIT platform.
A confirmed cheating violation may therefore result in a lifetime prohibition from participating in ExamIT-administered and applicable partner examinations.
Partner Examination Programs
For examinations administered on behalf of certification bodies, vendors, institutions, or other ExamIT partners, ExamIT may report confirmed examination misconduct to the applicable examination or certification owner.
The examination owner may apply additional consequences under its own examination policies.
No Circumvention of a Ban
A candidate who has received a lifetime examination ban must not attempt to bypass or circumvent the restriction.
Prohibited attempts include:
- Creating another examination account.
- Registering under another person's identity.
- Using another person's credentials.
- Providing false registration information.
- Attempting to take an examination through another ExamIT account.
- Using any other method to bypass the examination restriction.
Attempts to circumvent a lifetime ban may result in additional investigation and reporting to the applicable examination or certification owner.
Candidate Responsibility
Candidates are responsible for understanding the examination rules and ensuring that their examination environment complies with all applicable requirements before starting an examination.
If a candidate is unsure whether a device, application, website, AI tool, reference material, or other resource is permitted, they should contact ExamIT before beginning the examination.
Fairness and Examination Integrity
ExamIT's zero-tolerance approach is intended to protect the integrity of examinations and ensure that candidates who follow the rules are treated fairly.
Every candidate must complete the examination honestly, independently, and without unauthorized assistance.
Confirmed Cheating = Lifetime Ban
If cheating is confirmed, ExamIT may permanently ban the candidate from taking examinations administered by ExamIT and applicable examinations administered through ExamIT on behalf of its examination partners.
