ExamIT online testing

A secure, trusted environment for professional certification

Examit.com is one of the most secure platforms for proctoring online examinations, recognized for robust systems that support integrity and fairness. Since 2005, it has tested and proctored thousands of IT professionals around the world while maintaining high standards in certification assessments.

Examit supports certification and training-related exams for vendors including Certcop, PostgreSQL Certification, and Biocertification. Services include mock exams, practice tests, and live-proctored assessments for certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft, ISC2, EC-Council, and more.

Candidates need a webcam-enabled computer, a stable internet connection, and a private distraction-free space. Sessions are monitored in real time. Unauthorised behaviour, switching screens, or unapproved materials can lead to session termination. Government-issued photo identification is required to uphold exam integrity.

System requirements

Prepare your equipment and connection

01

Computer and operating system

Use a laptop or desktop computer with a monitor and webcam. Windows 7 or higher, or Mac OS 10.15 or higher, is required.

02

Internet connection

Use a reliable and secure connection with at least 3 Mbps upload and download speeds. A cable LAN connection is recommended instead of wireless.

03

Supported browsers

An updated Google Chrome version 50 or higher is recommended. Current Safari and Firefox versions can also be used. Internet Explorer and Edge cannot be used because of technical conflicts.

04

Webcam and microphone

A working webcam and microphone are required so the proctor can view your face, government ID, and testing room.

Identification requirements

Bring an accepted photo ID

Your ID must be

  • Valid and unexpired
  • An original government-issued document
  • Issued with your name and a recent, recognizable photo

Accepted ID examples

  • International travel passport
  • Drivers license
  • National, state, or province identification card
  • Alien registration card, green card, or permanent resident visa
Testing space

Create a private and visible environment

01

Choose an enclosed space that prevents others from entering or passing through once your exam begins. Avoid windows or glass partitions where others could view your screen.

02

Keep background noise low. Noise can distract proctors and interfere with your session.

03

Tell others in your household that you are taking an exam and cannot be interrupted.

04

Ensure your face and testing space are clearly visible. Avoid sitting in front of a window or another strong natural or electric light source.

During your test

Rules for a compliant exam session

01

Log in to the portal 10 minutes before the online examination start time.

02

Close all browsers and tabs before starting the online examination.

03

Once the exam starts, do not switch to another window or tab. Doing so may be considered malpractice and may terminate your attempt.

04

Clear browser cache memory on mobile devices and laptops. Clear browsing history and delete temporary files.

05

Present a valid government-issued photo ID when requested and scan the room with your webcam when requested.

06

Remain directly in front of your webcam for the full duration of the test. No other person may be in the room.

07

Do not interact or communicate with anyone while testing. Do not access other websites or applications, and do not intentionally disable your internet connection.
